Topic — Ways that we can follow through and help our neighbors using scripture references from James 2:15-17 and Luke 10:29-37
Bio — I have served on the board for the Matthew 25 Outreach Center for the past 4 years. Matthew 25 is an organization with the mission “Working together to meet needs as we build relationships” which we do through the distribution of produce in Ashland, Richland, and Wayne Counties. At the Mansfield distribution, my task is to help with the fun food which consists of pastries and snack food donated by an organization located in Wooster. I help organize the bulk food and direct volunteers to box the bulk items into family sized portions and then distribute it to those who come to the drive through distribution. During my service so far, I have helped to write multiple grants so that we can continue to expand our service to those who are hungry in the three counties we serve as well as explore opportunities to expand into other surrounding counties as we know there are many hungry people throughout our corner of the world.
