Title — Keeping the Joy in Our Lives
Topic — In these times, it’s hard to stay focused on who we are, as humans, as UU’s, as ourselves living our first principal, the inherent worth and dignity of every person..
We should also be preaching the 3rd principal, Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations. But our first and most important principle is taking care of our Joy, acceptance of ourselves, and our spiritual journey.
Bio — Ivie lives in Orrville, OH works in the Paint dept at Ventrac (a Toro co). Ivie’s Home Church is Unitarian Universalist fellowship of Wayne county for 5 years. She was a worship associate and on the stewardship committee, before becoming a Commissioned Lay Minister for 3 years. Involved in the pastoral care committee for 3 years she enjoys playing with her cat Joy, gardening, building landscapes, and just sitting down chatting with friends eating good food and a Fat Tire beer, or a good bourbon.
