Title — Implications of the election – no matter how it turns out.

Topic — We just went through a tumultuous election.  There are repercussions that affect all of us even a week and a half later that may last for more weeks/months/years to come. Rev Joan will unpack the recent election and what it might mean for social justice and Unitarian Universalism’s work for beloved community.

Bio — Rev. Joan VanBecelaere is a retired Unitarian Universalist community minister. Prior to retirement, she served as the Executive Director of Unitarian Universalist Justice Ohio. She has also worked as the Regional Lead with the Central East Region, District Executive for the former Ohio Meadville District, and Vice President for Student Services at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO. She has a longstanding interest in politics and holds a master’s degree in public administration and policy analysis from CU Denver.

She is a member of the North Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Lewis Center, Ohio, and lives in Columbus with her spouse, Jerry, and four very active felines.
