Title: What exactly do Quakers believe?
Topic: Did you know that liberal Quakers have a lot in common with Unitarian Universalists? Wendy Bartlett, a long-time friend of the Cleveland Society of Friends, will talk about liberal Quakerism, their social justice work, pacifism, and lead a few minutes of silent worship so that we can experience a bit of the spiritual life of Quakers as well.
Bio: Wendy Bartlett graduated from the Unitarian Universalist House of Studies with dual specializations in Unitarian Universalism and Interreligious Contexts. Wendy’s areas of focus are Unitarian Universalist history and the intersection of Unitarian Universalism and Buddhism.
Raised in the United Church of Christ, Wendy’s family joined the UU church when she was thirteen, and she’s been here ever since. Wendy is involved with social justice issues including anti-racism and LGBTQ concerns. She lives with her grown-up son, a cat, and a grandcat in Fairlawn, Ohio.
